Today I’m sharing my top 5 favorite podcasts including some of my favorite episodes from each one. I love podcasts. I listen to them all the time: while getting ready, making breakfast, on long car rides, when I’m cleaning, or working on blog posts.

If you love BITCH Magazine, then you will surely love their podcast. Each week they talk about everything from feminist porn, Game of Thrones, white feminism, snacks, #BlackLivesMatter, Wrestlemania, self-care, magic and so much more.

You Should Listen To: The Evolution of Wonder Woman

The History Chicks
The History Chicks offers in-depth history lessons about a wide range of women in history who you may not have learned about in your high school history class. They talk about women like Ida B. Wells, Frida Kahlo, and Catherine the Great. They also offer links on their website where you can learn even more about your favorite women in history along with book and movie recommendations.

You Should Listen To: Zelda Fitzgerald

Psychobabble with Tyler Oakley & Korey Kuhl
Psychobabble was one of the first podcasts I ever subscribed to and I have been a loyal fan ever since. I love Tyler and Korey’s raw sense of humor as well as their fearlessness when it comes to discussing difficult topics such as coming out and body image issues.

You Should Listen To: Claude Is 3 Minutes Away

Politically Re-Active with W. Kamau Bell & Hari Kondabolu
I mentioned Politically Re-Active in my last “Current Favorites” so it’s no surprise that it’s one of my top 5 favorite podcasts. The show is pure brilliance in ways that I cannot describe in writing. Do yourself a favor and subscribe.

You Should Listen To: Dave Zirin on Loving and Hating the Olympics

Sooo Many White Guys
Phoebe Robinson, host of Sooo Many White Guys, is brilliant and hilarious. She shares conversations with her guests that are simultaneously genuine, smart, and funny.

You Should Listen To: Phoebe and Gina Rodriguez and Eddie Vedder Walk Into a Bar

Honorable Mention

The Racist Sandwich Podcast
I had to give The Racist Sandwich Podcast a shoutout specifically for their recent episode that they did with BITCH Magazine’s Associate Editor, Amy Lam. They talk about food, racism, gendered expectations, and how all of that intertwines.

You Should Listen To: Writing About Race, Family, & Food (with Amy Lam)
