I have been searching endlessly for the perfect gingham piece to add to my summer wardrobe. I finally found this beautiful gingham off-the-shoulder top at Charlotte Russe. I styled it with a pair of ruffled black shorts, gladiator sandals, and a top knot.

Romper: Who What Wear | Espadrilles (Similar): Forever 21

In my previous post “Clashing Patterns” I wore this romper by dressing it up and styling it with a skirt layered over the top and paired it with high-heels. Today I kept it simple and wore it alone paired with my espadrilles that I picked up from Forever 21 a few years ago. A lot of people complain about rompers and jumpsuits especially when it comes time to use the bathroom but I can look past that considering how comfortable and effortless they are. I will happily deal with having to sit half-naked on the toilet if it means I can put little effort into my outfit but still look chic.

Jumpsuit: Old Navy (Similar)| Shoes: JcPenney | Bracelet and Earrings: Vern’s Valuables

For today’s outfit I wore one of my favorite wardrobe staples: a jumpsuit. I love jumpsuits. They’re easy, effortless, and versatile. This blue stripe linen-blend tie-belt jumpsuit from Old Navy is perfect for summer and I am a total sucker for anything with stripes. With temperatures reaching the hundreds here in California the material of this jumpsuit is nice and breathable. This jumpsuit looks great as is, but I wanted to dress it up a bit so I tucked in the straps. Then I took a safety pin to create more of a sweetheart neckline. I accessorized with these beautiful gold handmade accessories from Vern’s Valuables and a pair of my chunky heels.

One of the most common responses I get when people learn that I’m bisexual is, “You don’t look bisexual.” To which I always respond, “Well, I don’t wear a huge sign on my head that says, ‘Hi, I’m bisexual.'” Because in addition to being bisexual, I am also a huge smartass.

Because it’s Pride Month initially I wanted to center my outfits around it. I was looking for ways to incorporate my LGBTQ+ pride in any way I that I could. Then I laughed. Doesn’t all of the content I create in some way relate to me being a bisexual? While there is certainly a lot more to me than just my sexuality, it’s also important to acknowledge that my sexuality is very much apart of me and who I am. One of the main reasons I started blogging in the first place was because I didn’t see any plus size Queer women of Color being represented in the world of fashion bloggers and so I created a space for myself.

The reality is a bisexual person does not look like any one thing and I am just one example of what a bisexual person looks like. In today’s outfit I’m wearing this lovely embroidered tie-front swing dress that I picked up during Old Navy’s Super Cash sale. This dress is perfect for the hot California weather because it’s light and effortless. I paired it with these beautiful cognac wedges that wrap around the ankle. I have been on the hunt for a pair of shoes that wrapped around the ankles and I was so happy when I came across these beauties. They were such a steal too for only $17.99! Happy Pride, ya’ll.

I have been a longtime fan of the off-the-shoulder trend, but it can be difficult to find an off-the-shoulder piece that flatters my body type. When I came across this off-the-shoulder chambray tencel dress at Old Navy, I knew I had to try it on. One of the things I love most about this dress is that it cinches at the waist. I find that a lot off-the-shoulder pieces are often shift cut which is not very flattering on my body. I paired this dress with my espadrilles for an easy and effortless look.
