Processed with VSCO with a6 presetThis past weekend I spent the day in Santana Row with two of my favorite people, Ana and Daisy, in one of my favorite places. If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ll already know how sentimental Santana Row is for me. I had such a wonderful day eating, talking, laughing, taking photos, vlogging, shopping, and taking in the beautiful sight that is Santana Row. Ana and I could not stop talking about how amazing it would be to live in a place like this. Although, we both agreed that we could do without $2,000 rent that comes with living in such a place. We talked about future collaborations and tried to convince Daisy that she can be a blogger too. Ana and I also took Daisy to some of our favorite shops that she had never been to before. It is so easy to get caught up in life, that you can forget to just have fun. If you want to see what other shenanigans we got up to that day definitely check out Ana’s vlog and subscribe to her channel. Also, be sure to lookout for a mini haul video and a blog post on the outfit I wore. Coming soon.

Photo Diary: Monterey

I was born and raised in California and yet I had only been to Monterey once and it was not an entirely pleasant experience. I got stuck in my seat belt, but that is another story for another time. A few weeks ago, I took a day trip to Monterey. I went to the beach, bought a pair of sandals, walked on the boardwalk, ate clam chowder out of a bread bowl, had one of the best piña coladas I have ever tasted, saw otters, and unfortunately came home with a terrible sunburn. Overall it was a great trip, except for the sunburn.

Photo Diary: From Washington to Oregon to California

Travel June 22, 2016

On Friday afternoon, I said, “See you later,” to the place I have called home for the past 3 years. Of course, not before stopping by The Mason Jar one last time. I stopped in Wenatchee for the weekend for one of my best friends, Keisha’s, wedding. Sunday morning I drove 6 hours to Bend, Oregon where I stayed the night to rest, order takeout, and watch Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

While driving on my way to Oregon, the GPS on my phone took me on an unexpected route where I stumbled upon this beautiful location.

When I arrived in Oregon, I immediately ordered take out and put on the game. I worked on Monday’s blog post, “What’s On Face” which you can see here and stressed out over Sunday night’s episode of Game of Thrones.

On Monday afternoon, I was off on my next adventure and my final destination was California. It was roughly about an 8 hour drive until I reached my destination. This was my 4th time driving this route. If you have never taken a long road trip by yourself, you should. I highly recommend it. There is nothing more freeing than driving with your windows rolled down blasting Lemonade and singing at the top of your lungs.

When I finally made it into town, I was greeted by a beautiful California sunset and homemade tacos. “Home is where the tacos are.” I am so happy to be back in California for awhile until I start my next adventure in Virginia.

Sincerely,
Alexis Renae Griggs
